At Lykke & Lumen, sustainability is not a destination but an ongoing practice shaped by care, intention, and responsibility. We believe that creating products for wellbeing means considering not only how they make us feel, but how they are made and the impact they leave behind.

Our approach is thoughtful rather than perfect. We prioritise conscious choices, transparency, and continuous improvement, knowing that sustainability is a journey - one we are committed to evolving with care.

Thoughtful Creation

We design our products with longevity and purpose in mind, creating items that invite use, ritual, and presence rather than excess. Wherever possible, we work in small batches to reduce waste and support a slower, more intentional approach to production.

From the outset, our candles and diffusers are designed with refill options, allowing vessels to be reused and helping to reduce packaging waste over time. For other product categories, we continue to explore refill solutions where appropriate, as part of our ongoing commitment to considered design.

Our skincare, candles, and diffusers are made in the UK. Where possible, we work with European suppliers and partners, helping us reduce transport distances, support skilled production, and maintain close relationships throughout the making process.

Ingredients & Formulation

Our skincare is formulated with care, selecting ingredients for their quality, performance, and skin compatibility. We focus on purposeful formulations, avoiding unnecessary additives and prioritising ingredients that support both skin health and moments of rest.

As ingredient science evolves, we continue to review and refine our formulations with integrity and intention.

Packaging

We design our packaging to be considered, minimal, and purposeful. Wherever possible, we choose recyclable or reusable materials and avoid unnecessary components.

As part of this approach, we have consciously chosen not to package our skincare products in outer boxes. This decision helps reduce waste, minimise excess materials, and focus on what matters most — the product itself.

All orders are shipped using recycled and recyclable cardboard materials.

Responsible Growth

As a growing brand, we recognise that sustainability is not static. We are committed to regularly reviewing our practices and making improvements as we scale — from sourcing and production to packaging and logistics.
